Ebooks can be read online directly from the browser or via a PDF reader. If your computer does not have a PDF reader, install Adobe Reader.

Ebook content can be printed and copied. Ebook providers have set limits on the number of pages that can be printed or copied for each title. Some providers will ask you to set up an account before you can print or copy to monitor compliance.

Download

Ebooks can only be read online on campus PCs. To download chapters of ebooks, we recommend using your personal desktops or mobile devices:

  • For desktops
Download Adobe Digital Editions, then create an Adobe ID by following the prompts.
  • For mobile devices
Download the Bluefire app from the Apple App or Google Play Store.

Ebooks will be automatically stored in these apps on download.

Most ebooks can be accessed by multiple users at the same time. However, some titles are restricted to one or up to three users at a time.

Digital Rights Management (DRM)

Digital rights management is a technology tool that restricts the use of copyrighted digital materials. Some ebooks have no DRM while most have restricted access hence the limits on the number of users at a time, printing and copying.
